An excellent idea for a perennial flower bed
Planted baby pink rose bush two years ago in March. Planted salvia and cordyline last year in Aug. Loving the pink and purple combo
Tips:
I feed Roses every week with 10-10-10 NPK fertilizer and regularly deadhead spent flowers.
I had mulched my plants in spring right after I pruned them. Unfortunately I could still see weed in the soil, Just recently I have put a sheet of plastic on a small portion of the bed and then put stones and mulch on top to hide it. The bed looks so nice. I am waiting for spring to cover my whole bed with the plastic sheet to have a zero weed bed. 😉
